Although originally this would have been worn to bed, it is far too good to just have at home. Antique nighties make the best summer dresses as the fabric is always fantastic quality and have beautiful details. Made from a light soft cotton, the lace and broderie anglaise details are delicate and fine, adding interest and texture to a simple cut dress. If you want to toughen the look up, pop on a wide leather belt, some clogs and a chunky wooden necklace.

• Broderie anglaise lace straps
• Triangle shaped bust cups with lace trim
• Fitted waist with lace band
• Frill hem

• Fastens using shell buttons to the back
• Unlined

Condition

There is a small stain to the skirt, which is to be expected from the age. There is a small yellow piece of fabric behind each strap at the front, which looks to be strengthening the stitches. There are also some natural slubs to the fabric. All shown in photos
