1970s Rare 'Beau Peep' Cartoon White Sweatshirt | M

Rarer that a monsoon in the desert, this late 1970s sweatshirt is a serious find for the vintage streetwear collector. It depicts Beau Peep, the lead character from the comic strip in the Daily Star that told the story of a cowardly British man that joins the French Foreign Legion in the North African desert to escape his wife Doris back in the UK. It began in 1978, so this sweatshirt is probably from the late 70s, or very early 80s.

I bought it from it's original owner, who loved it in his 'younger, slimmer days' and was only selling it as his wife said they needed to clear the house. So with one careful and loving owner, this rare piece comes to you with a few war wounds, but still has plenty of fighting days left in it.
