A little some thing full of understated style for you! From the 1970s, this dress by Elka Couture was owned by a very special lady....a mayor of a local town! The lady went to many functions and had some utter wonderful pieces in her wardrobe, this being one. Made from a lovely navy chiffon, this dress hints at the skin beneath with its soft covering of sheer fabric, while the wide stiff belt and pleated skirt anchors the design to give it some weight. The shiny satin ribbon stops this being a plain dress and adds a nice amount of texture. Now this indeed is an elegant dress that would look perfect at an event, however you could totally wear this during the day with a different belt, a leather cropped jacket and a pair of trainers. Don't resign dresses this beautiful for just parties, celebrate it every day!

Description

• Warm navy colour
• Round neckline, with a slit to the back
• Long knife pleated skirt with double ribbon trim to the bottom
• Matching satin ribbon wide stiff belt, which fastens with hooks and eyes
• Long sheer sleeves, which fasten with a popper on the cuff, with a dart to the elbow
• Thin strapped sleeveless slip underneath
• Fastens using a nylon zip to the back, YKK brand, with a hook and eye above. The top of the neck fastens using another hook and eye
• Outer is made from a sheer ultra light polyester chiffon, and the slip from acetate
• Elka Couture label to the back

Condition

There is a small pin head hole to one shoulder, one just below the neckline at the front and another tiny one to back of the neck. There is also a small pull to the skirt. There is a round mark to the skirt, which has a small hole to the centre, and two longer stain to the front where something has been previously dropped down the front. The stains are quite feint. There is the faintest mark to the belt. . All shown in photos
