1970s Red Cord Latch Front Stripe Jacket, 40in Bust
I won't lie, I did not want to part with this amazing cord coat! From the 1970s, this red beauty has a great vibe with the stripes to the arms and the wide rounded collar. But the best bit is definitely the fastenings, which are large clip hooks right down the front making it look like some industrial duffle coat. I can imagine this kind of coat on some teen in a cool 1970s based movie, with flares and some sneakers! Ok now I want to keep it........
• Bright red cord, closest in hue to the closer photos
• Wide collar with deep rounded notches
• Slight fit to the body
• Flap pockets to the hips
• Long sleeves with stripes to the arms in blue and cream
• Fastens using large aluminium clasps to the front
• Hip length
• Made from what feels to be a cotton mid-weight cord
• Lined in a matching red acetate
• There is a small black near the hem at the back, a small pull to the back seam of the lining (which can't be seen when worn), and there has been a bit of bleed of the red into the cream stripe on the arms which must have occurred from a too hot wash previously. All shown in photos.
