1960s Bright Orange Embroidered Mod Coat, by Richard Shops, 42in Bust
This is a coat with a difference.........it was the original owners favourite coat in the 1960s (I can see why) and unfortunately the moths decided to munch on it. She was heart broken that her favourite piece was destroyed. But she had a brain wave, and decided to use matching thread and turn each hole into a daisy, creating this amazing visible mend of delicate blooms all over. It makes it so charming and personal, and a lesson to us all in make do and mend!
It is classic mod in it's cut, exactly what the 1960s wanted with style. The rounded Peter Pan collar and the double breasted gold button front is perfect, and the bright orange colour will stop anyone in their tracks. Great to wear with your crimplene minis and go-go boots!
• Bright orange in colour with matching simple daisy embroidery all over the coat
