The 1940s tailoring is unrivaled, and this is a wonderful example of how something understated can still be fabulously detailed. By Ritaville, this slate grey gaberdine blazer is great addition to the wardrobe as it will go with many colours, outfits and eras. The classic silhouette is apparent with the wide shoulders, nipped waist and flare at the hip with simple notched collar and exquisite tailoring. But the best detail about this jacket is the pockets, the scalloped edges reminding me of little grey clouds. Just perfect!

• Scalloped edges to the front pockets
• Slate grey colour, closest to full length photos
• Semi-wide collar with notches
• Fastens at the front using grey early plastic notched buttons
• Nipped waist with a fuller hip
• Princess seams for a tight fit
• Long sleeves with cuff vents
• Shoulder pads to retain shape
• Made from what feels like a mid-weight wool gaberdine fabric
• Lined in a grey silk
• Hanging hook to the neck
• Ritaville label to the inside

• There are some mends to the underarms in the lining, which are not seen from the outside. Shown in photos.
