Talk about dramatic! This late 1940s early 1950s housecoat boasts not only a zipper front, but also that flattering dropped waistline AND some pretty amazing massive balloon sleeves. It is too good to just wear about the house, this needs to be worn as a dress! The fabric is wonderfully textural with the waffle cotton and the colours are subtle but bright, wonderful to cover up a little in Summer. The skirt is lovely and full, the quality cotton has weight but fluidity so it will swish while you walk. Beautiful, feminine and dramatic.
