Wow! Now this is a classic 1940s navy suit if I ever did see one! Made from a beautifully rich navy blue wool, it has all the hallmarks of a perfect 40s outfit........the round saucer style buttons, wide shoulders, shape pockets and nipped waist. The collar is pointed and wide, nearly touching the shoulders, and accentuated with the wonderful contrast red stitching, which is is duplicated all over the suit. The pockets have a wonderful shape to them, again with the red stitch running to the edges and at the back of the jacket, the gathers that create a peplum shape are topped with a faux belt, boasting the same buttons and red stitching. This is wonderfully stylish, classic and simple, perfect to dress up with an amazing hat, large over the top corsage and statement shoes.

• Wonderful rich and warm blue navy, closest in hue to the main full length photos
• Fold down, pointed collar and lapels with contrast red stitching
• Nipped waist
• Fastens using self covered saucer style buttons to the front
• Pockets to the hips with pointed shaped fold overs, with red stitch detail
• Faux belt to the back with matching buttons and red stitch detail
• Gathers to the back of the jacket accentuating the hips
• Shoulder pads to give the classic wide 40s look
• Full length sleeves with a dart to the elbow
• Jacket lined in a navy silky sateen fabric
• Made from a mid weight wool, soft and of high quality
• Darts to the skirt for a tight fit, with a simple straight cut to the skirt, knee length

• Spare button to the inside of the jacket
• Man Tailored, A Judy Nell Fashions label to the inside
• Very small moth hole to the hip on the skirt (covered by jacket). A couple of marks to the skirt front which look like food/drink stains. There is slight reddening to the lining under the arms and to the back of the neck from wear, not noticeable. All shown in photos.
